Silent Infection

Mr. Odone, Lorenzo Odone's father, inspired me to do research about a common infection women share, as well as horses. I wondered at the difference between horses and women with regards to success in giving birth to live offspring. Very little research exists for humans and a common infection, yeast. Much is known about horses and yeast. But perhaps more will be known for horses when humans are studied more. Robert O. Young, PhD, believes that infection and all disease is a symptom of the pH scale of the blood being off kilter. I highly recommend his site www.phmiracleliving.com for his articles of health blogs because our bodies never become resistant to chlorophyll and alkaline water, but on the other hand, some anti-fungal drugs cause miscarriage and the body becomes resistant.

Many infections are silent, symptomless. An infection does not need to be sexually transmitted to be listed in the STI/STD category(CDC, 2004) or to have been found to cause infertility in horses (Google, 2004). Humans have not been studied as extensively? An example: horses infected with Candida from fescue and/or caterpillars become infertile. (Google, 2004) Common infections, as well as sexually transmitted infections might well disrupt hormones, and decrease fertility. The research for common infections in humans affecting FSH (Folicle Stimulating Hormone) has yet to be done (urinary tract infections, yeast infections, dental disease, colds, to name a few). If there is a relationship to fertility and common infections, one test will not close the door to treatment, as well as hope for many women to give birth to their genetic child. It may instead open the door to better health. Perhaps the pH Miracle and alkaline diets will change the milieu of sterility, stillbirth, infertility, miscarriage.

Most women who reach menopause will have high FSH levels. Follicle Stimulating Hormone comes from the pituitary in the brain, and is necessary for ovulation in women. Higher levels spell menopause and the end of ovulation. Some women have higher levels as soon as their 20s and other women have normal levels in their 40s. The women with higher levels find it is difficult or impossible to have their genetic children. Little research has been done directly for factors of FSH levels. So much has been written about the age factor, when perhaps there is more. (Hanson, 2003) Perhaps infection plays a role.

Four studies gave differing views of infection and FSH levels. HIV infected women had higher levels of FSH in one study. (Salmassi, 2001) Cattle had normal FSH levels, but still fewer and smaller follicles with a uterine bacterial infection. (Sheldon, 2002) (The FSH levels may have been different, but the effects were similar, because fertility factors decreased in each study.) FSH is related to viral replication time (Wang, S.W., 1995). “Our findings reveal that endotoxin interrupts the follicular phase of the cycle by interfering with several steps in the preovulatory chain of endocrine events.” (Karsch, 2001) ########

This is at Unity North, Marietta, Georgia, USA. I started working on a labyrinth in my back yard. This is a circle of mulch with bricks. Mine will be mint and I don't know what else. I could use sticks or rocks or leaves with the mint and many kinds of materials. What do you think? I wrote Fertile Prayers: Daily Fertile Prayers. Because of Jenny Ewing and because of Chandra Levy and so many women who disappear only to be found too late, and because there are so many miscarriages, I was moved to begin a labyrinth in Paulding County, Georgia. Does anyone else know of someone with a labyrinth in this county? The picture above is not going to be like the one I build. I am open to including help.

How can you support the Buddy System?

Buddy System is promoted by law enforcement, and all branches of military. If you check Youtube, you will see that scuba divers, ice fishing, hunters, kayak and mostly male athletes all promote the Buddy System. More women need to be encouraged to use the Buddy System, and men too. I went with a Buddy Saturday Dec. 3, 2011 to Jenni Ewing's memorial and met 7 women riding or walking alone in three miles.

The first proposal for signs in the three counties, Cobb, Paulding, Polk on the Silver Comet Trail for sign improvement and maintenance. Please make suggestions. Can motorized vehicles for disabled people be used on the Silver Comet Trail?
The Buddy System can double the people on the Silver Comet Trail and make the Trail safer for everyone!

1. Signs to be improved/maintained (almost like cemeteries) through funds from the money my nonprofit Fear Thou Not raises.

2. Buddy System needs to be on the top. Buddy System is not a rule with a number but just the 2 words, in blue or reflective yellow or white.
3. Each county would have to agree to the color and placement and to receiving funds for this improvement and the maintenance of the large mile marker signs on both sides.
4. I want the signs to be on both sides on the mile marker, not the 1/4 or 1/2 or 3/4 mile markers.
5. I want other trails to take up and notice this, and I want PR that is positive for citizen crime prevention, with no fear tactics or negative PR. Another murder would be awful PR, and if people continue to walk/ride alone, and if 40 to 50 men are arrested every year on the Silver Comet Trail in Paulding County only but according to what Sheriff Deputy Mike Quinn said in 2009, I know this is likely to happen.

I have met two men who were stranded on the trail after dark with a flat tire and they walked miles in the dark. They didn't think to call friends or neighbors. If they were using the Buddy System, they would have been safer. I have met men who were hospitalized after violence on the Silver Comet Trail. The men were not using the Buddy System.

After the Silver Comet Trail establishes these signs, visitor centers in Georgia need to consider them. It wouldn't hurt for people to be reminded that going into a bathroom alone is not safer than finding or waiting for another person, at least for women.

Mr. Ewing, Jennifer Ewing's husband, has retired from the Georgia Visitors' Centers. I requested that this information be given to him if he can be contacted. I also am contacting Home Depot because Jennifer Ewing, the woman murdered in Paulding County, was a former employee of Home Depot.

When Meredith Hope Emerson was missing and national news broadcast her disappearance, her description in 2007 or 2008 fit me so closely my Mother called me to find out if I were the woman missing. Use the Buddy System for the women who have been murdered, and the one who got away--me.

Thank you for your donations that have helped me for the Global Health and Humanitarian Summit at Emory Medical School, Emory University, Atlanta, GA. I organized the GHHS with others, taught autoharp to children and adults, spoke about the Buddy System, Pakistan, and moderated a homeless panel on April 1-3, 2011 at Emory University. I wanted to Co-chair the same type of event at Clark Atlanta University. Because Clark Atlanta University didn't want to pay for three additional security guards for 1,500 people, we may be cancelling the same type summit at Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta where the Civil Rights Movement began.

We want a Humanitarian Movement to start at Clark Atlanta. When we mindfully choose to openly care with our hearts and we Tarry (humaniTARIan) to find out unwanted and unknown needs, and we teach people how to fish when they are asking for something that might as well be our dinner (the fish we just caught) we will have the joy of knowing that when we eat, someone else is also eating because they have been helped to help themselves. Sustainability folks. 'Tis the season to quit giving just a hand out and give a hand up.

What I plan to speak about at the Emory University Global Health and Humanitarian Summit,http://www.imvc.org:

1. There are very few interesting stories about how the buddy system stopped crime. If you are not a target, nothing happens.
2. There are loads of interesting stories of people who were alone who were targeted for crime.
3. The Buddy System is taught in Scouting, law enforcement, diving, kayaking, ice fishing, fire, EMT, and all military branches of training. (Youtube)
4. Finding a Buddy is a challenge. We live in a solitary society where people are solitary.
5. How to find a Buddy to implement the Buddy System. A. Family, B. Friends. C. Neighbors, D. Community structure (church/synagogue, clubs, work, etc.), E. Internet: Buddy System MeetUp began in February (MeetUp, Craigslist, Facebook, Twitter).
6. Reminders to use the Buddy System will be a coin purse with "Buddy System: Fear Thou Not" printed on the purse. It is shaped like a foot ball. I have to do fund raising for the coin purse.
7. Merchants can be encouraged to promote the Buddy System because it doubles business.
8. A list of resources such as www.justyellfire.com, www.cuddleparty.com, www.nixle.org, andhttp://gbi.georgia.gov, will be discussed.

I support the Paulding County Sheriff's Department. This is the biggest crime deterring crime from law enforcement. Civilians have the power of the Buddy System if we would only use it.

This is the third year I have paid to support the protection the Sheriff's Department gives to the Silver Comet Trail and to be included on their widely dispersed calendar. My phone number is changed on the calendar. 770-947-6635 is the new number. The old number has been washed.

No one ever donated an air pump for the Sheriff's Deputies. Ask the deputies what they need. You might be surprised at how much you as a citizen can help.

This is a Spanish song for babies I am learning. So many babies are on the Silver Comet Trail. I sang to one for a little while today. She did not like Puccini so much, but she was OK with Puppy Dogs are Beautiful and the Insy Winsy Spider.

I am singing Puccini and Patty Loveless songs, and Wildwood Flower. Tommy and I also sang The Lion Sings Tonight. We need help on the background/percussion. I wish there were more musicians there. We might get better! I want to learn the Lari White song, Just Thinking. I love it.

The less isolated the Silver Comet Trail is, the less crime.

I don't have a recent picture of the Silver Comet Trail, so I am adding a picture of a bird house that is out of focus. Maybe I need a new camera?

The Sheriff's Deputies could use an air pump if anyone will please donate one. If people make a donation to me, and I donate the money/air pump for bikes, then it will help your taxes, because Fear Thou Not, PO Box 1268, Hiram, GA 30141 is a nonprofit/501 (c) 3. A Fear Thou Not receipt will help your taxes, and might help a stranded biker who needs air. This happened today. Someone needed air, and Tommy, who is on the board of Fear Thou Not, helped him with his air pump.

Bikers were riding the section of the trail taped off because of a severe wash out during the flooding of 2009 in Paulding County, Georgia until the extensive work began. Notice he is not using the Buddy System? FEMA is only paying for a portion of the work being done to improve the Silver Comet Trail. The County Governments are paying a high proportion of the extensive work being done for the Silver Comet Trail with no funding left for signs. People with disabilities are not included on this sign on the Silver Comet Trail. Do we need to change the signs? Please donate if you would like to change the signs. Please contact your county government. Please make a difference if you are a company who would like to donate to the signs being updated and maintained by the counties. Please suggest fund raising for the Silver Comet Trail.
